Half day Autumn seminars to launch the Young People's Services Toolkit
We've set up a series of half day seminars across the UK to disseminate the findings of the evaluation and to let practitioners know more about the materials that will make it into the final draft of the toolkit. The seminars will run in October and November 2010. Please click here for the events listing. This document also includes the contact details for each seminar.
Working with young peoples' violence in close relationships - a 5 day modular training course
The toolkit will be ready to be trained out to all practitioners across the UK at the end of 2010. We are running two five day courses - one in London and one in York - which will equip practitioners to use all of two the toolkit materials. The training will include full access to the online toolkit and the accompanying DVD materials. For more information on these courses, and for the application form, click here .
The National practitioners network - Autumn seminar in Coventry
The YPS is committed to facilitating a network for projects and practitioners who are working with young people's use of violence across the UK. To this end we help to run six-monthly practice sharing seminars. The next one will be in Coventry and will be run in partnership with 'Chapter 1' on October 6th 2010. If you are interested in attending or running a workshop, email Julia.worms@respect.uk.net
National conference 2011
On Feb 17th 2011 we'll be running a national conference on young people's violence in close relationships. This will take place in London. At this stage we're still finalising speakers for the event. If you want to nominate anyone or send us your wish list of who you'd like to hear speaking on these issues - from anywhere in the world - do email kate.iwi@respect.uk.net and we'll be happy to consider your ideas.
